Pakistan's youngest mayor tells his priorities for Sukkur

KARACHI: Presently Pakistan’s youngest elected mayor Arsalan Islam Sheikh intends to serve Sukkur with water supply and solid waste management as top priorities.

Asked about his sweeping victory in mayor elections in Geo Pakistan, Arsalan Islam Sheikh explains it as an outcome of people's confidence in PPP. "People still trust PPP and this is why the party was given such a huge mandate", he said.

Detailing his priorities for Sukkur, the mayor-elect put supply of water on top, followed by drainage and solid waste management in the city.

Among other plans for the Sukkur populace, he holds provision of health, education and other basic services to the people.

Sheikh also intends to improve the infrastructure of the city, spread civic awareness and interfaith harmony.
