RAWALPINDI: A team of Chinese doctors in collaboration with faculty of Centre for Liver and Digestive Diseases (CLD) at Holy Family Hospital (HFH) Saturday successfully conducted surgeries through Endoscopic Ultrasound Versus Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedure on patients suffering from Liver Pancreas and Gall Bladder cancers.
Talking to APP Principal Rawalpindi Medical College and Allied Hospitals Dr. Umer said a team of doctors from China including Dr. Chou and Dr. Lee Pong performed surgeries of 12 cancer patients in a two day International training workshop on basic and advanced techniques.
Dr. Umer further said that surgeries through an advance technique ERCP is being done to treat patients suffering from Liver Gall Bladder and Pancreas cancer at HFH.
Dr. Chou and Dr. Lee also checked 12 Liver patients who have had transplants while 15 patients suffering from Liver cancer were also examined.
Dr. Umer added that surgeries of 30 patients would be carried out on Aug 28.
