LONDON: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has no two opinions on Altaf Hussain being a 'traitor', said party leader Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday.

In her reference to Muttahida chief Altaf Hussain at a press conference in London, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that her party would get the 'British national' punished according to Pakistani laws.

She, however, said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) holds the mandate of Karachi and a ban on it is unacceptable.

Speaking with regard to the terms of reference (ToRs) of Panama Papers probe, the former federal minister vowed to run a campaign against the government if a consensus was not achieved on the TORs.

She added that the PPP will soon announce its protest strategy, together with rest of the opposition parties.

Awan further said that if the PPP did not learn from the past then it would cause irreparable damage to itself.
