JI leader escapes assassination attempt in Lower Dir
Gunman fires at JI leader Shad Nawaz Khan's convoy, two policemen and one child killed

LOWER DIR: A gunman attacked local Jamaat-e-Islami leader Shad Nawaz Khan's convoy in Rabat area of Lower Dir district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, police said.
The gunman fired at Shad Nawaz Khan but he escaped the assassination attempt unhurt, according to reports. Two police officials and one child were reportedly killed by the firing.
The attacker jumped into the River Panjkora and fled, police said.
Police have detained one suspect in the attack and continue to search for the other involved.
