LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) candidates won the by-elections on both PP-232 Vehari-I and NA-63 Jhelum-II on Wednesday.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results, PMLN candidate Yousuf Kuseliya secured 51, 323 votes from PP-232 Vehari-I.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Ayesha Nazir Jutt secured the second position after getting 50, 267 votes. The PTI candidate refused to accept the results, demanding a complete recount and an investigation.
In NA-63 Jhelum-II, the ruling party's candidate Raja Matloob bagged 82, 896 votes followed by PTI's candidate obtained 74, 819 votes.
Earlier, the voting process on both constituencies ended at 5pm.
According to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Punjab office, the total number of registered voters were 427,757 for NA-63 Jhelum-II
The voting process took place at 976 polling booths (male 514, female 462) of 314 polling stations.

As many as 314 presiding officers, 976 assistant presiding officers and 976 polling officers would supervise the election process.
The seat fell vacant after the death of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Malik Iqbal Mehdi who secured NA-63 seat by getting 116013 votes in the general elections 2013.
In PP-232 Vehari-I, a total number of registered voters stood at 191,092 with 365 polling booths of 157 polling stations.
As many as 157 presiding officers, 365 assistant presiding officers and 365 polling officers supervised the electoral process.
