FAISALABAD: The 40 megawatts (MW) coal fired power project was inaugurated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Sitara Chemical Industries Ltd.
The plant is the largest of its kind in the industrial sector of Faisalabad. The project was completed in 27 months at a cost of Rs 3.5 billion.
The prime minister was accompanied by Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Commerce Khurrum Dastagir, Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali and Governor Punjab Malik Rafiq Ranjwa.
