Rangers, police round up 30 suspects in Karachi

KARACHI: At least 30 suspected persons have been apprehended during search operations by police and Rangers in different areas of Karachi.

On a tip off Rangers conducted raids in Chanesar Goth, Gulbahar and Saeedabad areas on Sunday and rounded five suspected persons.

Rangers also claimed to have recovered weapons and drugs during raids.

The suspects have been shifted to undisclosed locations for investigation.

Meanwhile on a tip off police conducted door-to-door checking during search operations in Gulbahar, Nazimabad No. 2 and Firdous Colony areas of Karachi on Sunday while apprehending 10 suspected persons.

Police also conducted search operation in Saeedabad area and detained 12 suspected persons.

Landhi police apprehended three suspects identified as Shahid Usman and Idrees. Police claimed to have recovered weapons and one kilogram of drugs from the suspects’ possession.
