Big B cleans up streets of Mumbai

Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is certainly a role model for people around the world. His humble and down-to-earth nature has made him an idol for his fans.

While many actors after achieving success let it get to their heads, Big B did something that has sent a positive message to everyone. To show his support for “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Maharashtra” campaign, he readily picked up the broom and went on a cleaning spree in the streets of Mumbai.

In the pictures shared by ndtv.com, Big B is seen wearing a white kurta and a blue waistcoat and helping the team pick up garbage around Mumbai’s JJ Hospital area. He also took to his social media account and posted: "At Maha Cleanathon to acknowledge the Swachh Bharat campaign in Maharashtra, and to work so many others follow."

When he was asked to speak about this, he said, "You are praising me for picking up trash with my bare hands but there's nothing special about it. Our sanitation workers don't always have gloves. When you see someone littering. Go stop them. Tell them what they are doing is wrong. When you keep doing this repeatedly, people will change,"
