PIA completes pre-Hajj operation

ISLAMABAD: The national carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Monday completed its pre-Hajj operation, according to the airlines spokesman.

Danyal Gilani told Geo.tv that the last pre-Hajj flight PK-2337 departed for Jeddah from Islamabad carrying 321 intending pilgrims.

Earlier Gilani had told Geo.tv that a special flight will stop over in Bahrain to bring home stranded Pakistanis. This special flight is to be operated on instructions of PIA chairman.

Gilani told Geo.tv that the A310 aircraft deputed to transport the stranded Pakistanis from Bahrain to Karachi and Lahore would take off from Bahrain at 5:30pm local time today (7:30pm PST).
