Policeman goes rogue, guns down two fellow officers in Quetta

QUETTA: A policeman opened fire on two fellow officers over a personal dispute near Eastern Bypass, police said on Tuesday.

The firing incident, which also killed an SHO, took place in Shaheed Manzoor Tareen police station.

DIG Quetta, Abdul Razzaq Cheema said that a policeman identified as Pervez was upset over unknown causes. The SHO Noor Bakhsh Mengal ordered food to placate the disgruntled fellow.

Although when the policemen started having the meal, Pervez went outside. SHO Mengal came out of his room to talk to Pervez, however, he opened fire on him. The SHO and his guard Abdullah died on the spot.

The policeman who went rogue was also killed in retaliatory fire by other police personnel, police said.

The dead bodies have been shifted to Civil hospital. After the incident, police officials reached the police station and started investigating the matter.
