LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Mansoor Ali Shah on Friday said that swift execution of justice cannot be expected from judges of questionable reputation, adding that it is intolerable that incompetent judges continue working in courts.
The CJ LHC was addressing a gathering in Lahore, where he said “it is not rocket science that the decision of a case should be reached within six months.”
The chief justice SHC said that no matter what happens it is inevitable to give verdict of a case in the give time period.
Justice Mansoor said that it is the biggest priority to change the negative perception of judiciary in people’s minds.
“The general thinking about the legal system is that a person’s life is spent but justice is not dispensed,” the chief justice LHC said.
“We must identify the black sheep among us,” Justice Mansoor said, adding that they were not made judges to build properties and make cash.
