ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid Friday termed Dr Tahirul Qadri a 'court-certified liar' saying that such a person could not mislead the Pakistani people with his rhetoric.

In a statement issued on Friday, the minister said the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief was a certified liar as testified by a judicial commission and such a person could not mislead Pakistani people with his rhetoric.

He sought an answer from Dr Qadri as to why he kept mum during his visit to India on killing of innocent people in Gujrat under Modi administration and Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

He said Qadri, who was hurling allegations on thrice elected prime minister of Pakistan, was never tired of admiring the Indian premier.

Pervaiz Rashid asked why the PAT chief could not even speak a word of consolation for the Muslims of Indian Gujrat who fell prey to Narendra Modi's tyranny and the innocent Kashmiris who were being penalised for demanding their inalienable right to self-determination.

He said PM Nawaz Sharif was deprived of travelling for five years because General (R) Pervez Musharraf had refused to renew his passport. "There was an offer from friendly countries to travel on their passports but he (Nawaz) always preferred to travel on the Green Passport".

The minister slammed Qadri questioning that how could a person allege others of being traitor when he possessed a Canadian passport and had taken an oath of allegiance and loyalty to the British Queen.

"Actually, after rejection by people and his failure in winning their support for a struggle based on propaganda, he is trying to take refuge behind the allegations that only suit himself," Rashid stated.
