MARDAN: A Pakistani who claims to be the strongest man in the world is headed to represent Pakistan in the World Wrestling Entertainment next year.

Khizar Hayat, 24, a resident of Mardan, has had his name registered in the Guinness Book of World Record as the strongest man.

A wrestler by profession, Khizar has bagged a few international awards including the title of the world's strongest man in 2015.

Khizar, who can lift an adult man up in the air with one hand, weighs 436 kilos.

His daily diet includes 10,000 calories, 10 times that of what an average person needs in a day. He drinks five liters of milk and eats three kilos of meat and vegetables every day.

His weight hinders his movement. And even when the temperature is pleasant, he feels very hot.

“I have been blessed with a gift by God,” he said.

Khizar will represent Pakistan in a wrestling contest next year. We wish him the best.
