HYDERABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief (MQM) Farooq Sattar on Sunday said that people should stop viewing those with suspicion who built Pakistan.

Farooq Sattar was addressing media along with other MQM leaders in Hyderabad, he said that he wants a Pakistan where boons of democracy also trickle down to common people.

“The biggest tragedy is not accepting those who chant ‘Pakistan Zindabad’,” he said, adding that they "want to become an 'equal' Pakistani."

He said that only those could understand the plight of general public who have been through the same problems.

Farooq Sattar said that at this time on Eidul Azha the party will not collect animal hides, although it will participate in cleaning up the city.

He said that the measure to distance the party from London leadership was carried out to maintain harmony and discipline.

On Saturday, Sattar had strictly directed MQM and Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation workers from collecting hides. Sattar had said the MQM would also suspend welfare activities, and its charitable organisations would either be run by donations from philanthropists or that they would be given up for 'adoption'.

The MQM collects sacrificial hides under its charitable organisation Khidamat-e-Khalq Foundation.
