JACOBABAD: Four people of a family including a minor girl were killed late Sunday in Jacobabad over an old enmity, police said.

The assailants barged into a house in Kot Abdul Hameed, Jacobabad, and opened indiscriminate fire on the residents, police said. The gunfire left four of a family dead.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Rasheed, his two sons Inayat and Wali Muhammad, and a grand daughter Sumera.

Officials said the incident was an outcome of old enmity between two groups of Baanban fraternity.

Efforts were underway to identify and arrest the perpetrators, they added.
