ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervez Rashid on Monday mocked Imran Khan saying that no one supported him in his ‘Raiwand March’.

“Imran Khan has been left alone. There is no one to go with him to Raiwand,” he said.

In a personal remark at his political rival he said, “Imran Khan had promised to go for Haj this year. What happened then? Did the Satan advise him against it? Or did Allah not give him permission” he said.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan had announced that his party will march to Raiwand, where the prime minister lives, to protest against alleged offshore accounts named in the Panama Papers that the prime minister’s family owns.

The PTI has taken to the streets, by holding rallies in Lahore and Karachi, asking the prime minister to come out clean over the Panama Leaks issue.

His movement lost fervor after initially the Pakistan Awami League backed out of the protest and later the Pakistan People’s Party also hinted against backing out.

Speaking to Geo News earlier this week, former prime minister and PPP leader Pervez Ashraf said that democracy is not about surrounding a political leader’s home and creating chaos.
