Army Chief spends Eid with troops

RAWALPINDI: The Army Chief General Raheel Sharif offered Eid prayers with the army troops deployed at Bajaur Agency.

He reviewed the operation, border management and visited construction sites, the ISPR said.

The army chief lauded the relentless sacrifices of the troops. He added that the troops were away from their families to guard the country, the ISPR added.

He spent time with tribal chiefs too, the ISPR said.

The Army Chief on the occasion said that the government is making efforts for development in the Agency.

Till the restoration of peace and complete transfer of administrative control the Army would remain in the area, said the COAS.

The tribal leaders expressed gratitude to the COAS Sharif upon the elimination of the menace of terrorism in the region.

“We will not let any terrorist enter our area,” vowed the tribal leaders.
