Woman tests positive for Dengue in Sargodha

KARACHI: The number of people being affected by Dengue fever is on the rise across the country as cases of Dengue have also been reported in Sargodha and Larkana.

A 30-year old woman was brought to District Headquarters Hospital, Sargodha where doctors confirmed her having contracted Dengue virus.

The Health Department said it is first case of Dengue virus confirmed in the area.

A diagnostic centre has been set up in Civil Hospital in Sargodha.

Meanwhile, MS Chandka Medical College and Hospital said out of three patients brought to the hospital in suspect of Dengue fever, one has tested positive – first case of Dengue virus confirmed in Chandka Medical College and Hospital. Blood tests of the two others are being carried out, he added.
