Turkish Army Chief meets Gen Raheel Sharif
The chiefs discussed issues of mutual interest including defence, security cooperation, training and measures to promote regional stability

ISLAMABAD: Commander of the Turkish Land Forces General Salih Zeki Çolak met Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at GHQ on Tuesday.
According to the statement released by ISPR, the chiefs discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest including defence, security cooperation, training and measures to promote regional stability.
General Salih Zeki Colak was also given detailed briefing on operational, intelligence and training aspects of the Pakistan Army.
The Turkish Commander lauded the achievements of the Pakistan Army and the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces in the war against terrorism.
Earlier on arrival at GHQ General Salih Zeki laid floral wreaths at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A contingent of the Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
