Pakistani citizen Reginald Foulds is among 100 candidates chosen for a one-way mission to Mars earlier this year.

Sixty-year-old served as a helicopter pilot in the Pakistani air force before retiring in 1992.

Foulds moved to Canada with his wife at the age of 42.
