KARACHI: Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim believes that time has come for Pakistan cricket team to change the perception that the team is 'inconsistent'.

Imad was speaking ahead of Pakistan’s three-match series against the West Indies in the United Arab Emirates, where the young all-rounder expressed confidence that Pakistan can do good against the World T20 champions in the series.

“What we have decided as a group is that we will be consistent, and the label, people say we are inconsistent, which is true,” he told the media in Dubai.

“And, I think now things have to change for the betterment of Pakistan cricket. We are trying to show the same skill level and intensity as we did in Manchester,” Imad added.

Imad, who got everyone’s attention during Pakistan’s away series against England, said that he is trying to become a match-winner for the team.

“I have my aims and goals; I want to be a person who can be a match-winner. I worked really hard when I was young and played domestic cricket, so I just want to perform for my team,” he said.

“I am a very ambitious cricketer and an ambitious human being, I just love playing for Pakistan,” said the Wales-born all-rounder.
