ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Thursday said Brahumdagh Bugti’s application for Indian citizenship demonstrates New Delhi’s interference and support for terrorism in Pakistan.
The exiled leader of the banned Baloch Republican Party (BRP) leader Brahumdagh Bugti has formally asked the Indian government to give him asylum and Indian nationality so that he could live in India and move around the world to campaign against Pakistan.
In a world exclusive, Geo News had revealed on 15th September that Brahumdagh Bugti was set to apply for Indian citizenship and a deal had been reached between the banned BRP leader and the Indian government.
In the weekly news briefing held on Thursday, Foreign Office spokesman Nafeez Zakaria spoke of India habitually blaming Pakistan, New Delhi’s human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to United Nations.

The Foreign Office said Pakistan’s army is ready to protect the country and along with the nation was prepared to face any challenges.
Foreign Office spokesman Nafeez Zakaria stressed that Pakistan was a peace loving country. He said India had habitually blamed Pakistan for every incident while the country’s media was creating hype with irresponsibility.
“The prime minister of Nepal denied Indian media report related to Pakistan,” the spokesman said.

The Foreign Office said Pakistan strongly condemned Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. While shedding light on the use of pellet guns, the Foreign Office spokesman added that 118 Kashmiris had been martyred by Indian forces.
Nafeez Zakaria called on the United Nations to take notice of these atrocities and for international human rights organizations to visit the occupied valley.
PM submitted proof of human rights violations
Speaking on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s trip to New York where he brought light on the Kashmir issue during his UNGA address and meeting with world leaders, Nafeez Zakaria said the prime minister had demanded that a fact finding mission be sent to IoK.
