ISLAMABAD: The inspection teams of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) have sealed 18 food outlets during last 24 hours over unhygienic conditions.
According to details various teams inspected the sanitary and hygienic conditions of various hotels in the rural and urban areas and sealed a total of 18 food outlets besides imposing fine of them.
ICT sources said that it has been decided to launch grand operation against the sale of adulterated and substandard edibles.
Special teams have been constituted to take strict action against those involved in profiteering food adulteration and selling unhygienic items at food outlets.
These teams would ensure display of rate list of food items prominently at shops.
District Health Officer would also ensure improving sanitation conditions at various hotels as most of them are putting the health of others at risk.
According to the ICT, source checking would be made of hotels on regular basis and strict action would be taken against those selling poor quality food stuff.
ICT administration has strictly directed all the food outlets to ensure the quality of food.
It has been directed to comply with the food failing which stern legal action would be taken against the violators.
