FIA registers first case under Cybercrime Law in Karachi
A spokesperson for the FIA confirms registration of a case and arrest of the suspect for blackmailing the girl by uploading her pictures on social media

KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) today arrested a youth for blackmailing a girl and uploading her pictures on social media, lodging the first case under the Cybercrime Law.
The father of the girl had lodged a complaint that a man was blackmailing her daughter by uploading her pictures on social media websites.
Upon receiving the complaint, the FIA Cybercrime Cell acted swiftly and apprehended the youngster.
A spokesperson for the agency confirmed that a case had been registered against the suspect upon complaint by the father of the girl in question and that he has been arrested.
