KARACHI: US Consul General Grace Shelton on Wednesday engaged with young Pakistani girls at a volleyball workshop held at her residence, according to a US Consulate General Karachi’s press release.
Renowned Pakistani volleyball coaches Farah Sarfaraz, Nouma Faridi, and Fozia Naz trained more than 40 girls from Dawood Public School as their parents watched from the sidelines.
“Volleyball shows us the importance of teamwork and inclusivity,” said US Consul General Grace Shelton, speaking to the girls, coaches and parents.
“Just as volleyball teams need players with different skill sets – bumping, setting, and spiking – so do communities need people with different backgrounds, expertise, and perspectives,” she added.
