Modi wants to do in Kashmir what he did in Gujrat: Asif

ISLAMABAD: Federal Defence Minister Khwaja Muhammed Asif on Thursday reacting to unprovoked Indian firing across the Line of Control (LoC) remarked that Modi is trying to do in Kashmir what he had done in Gujrat.

He stressed that the matter of Kashmir is not going to stall now adding that his government will give all the support needed for the Kashmir independence movement. Which he said will end in victory.

Asif said Pakistan has tried to improve relations with both Afghanistan and India.

He highlighted that Pakistan’s policy is to respond and never initiate firing across the LoC.

Khwaja Asif said a six-hour long meeting took place between the civilian and military leadership. Pakistan needs to focus on defending its borders he added.

The defence minister said India is trying to present a cross border violation across the LoC as a surgical strike.
