Another ignored school of Sindh Students study under trees

A government primary school in village Wazir Ali Phulpoto is running under the shade of trees since last 33 years.

The school does not have building and other facilities of life as rulers have ignored the little students. They have failed to provide a proper building to the school which is matter of great concern in this modern era.

Sindh government is announcing to impose education emergency in the province to improve standard of education but basic things are yet to be carried out including provision of buildings, furniture, drinking water, boundary walls, electricity, teaching staff and other vital things to the schools in Sindh including this one.

The deprived village is located just one and half kilometer away from the ancestral village of former education minister Nisar Khuhro but despite repeated requests to him by the villagers, he took no efforts to provide building to the school.

Primary teacher Nawab Ali Kunbhar told PPI that, “since 1983 this school is being run under the shade of trees during worst hot weather.”

“It is also deprived of electricity and other facilities,” He said.

Another teacher Jinsar Ali Kumbhar expired three years ago and so far no substitute has been provided keeping in view the rush of the students and that he is solely continuing because education is must for every child.

He said over 100 students were enrolled in the school from primary class 1 to 5 and they came here from other nearby villages. He said that most of the residents were poor farmers but wanted their kids fully literate.

Notable of the village Ibrahim Shah Illahi Bux said on the occasion that their village is being step motherly treated by the government as all school buildings are constructed in the nearby adjacent villages where 4 to 5 teachers have also been posted but this village is constantly being neglected on political grounds which is unjust exposes the discriminatory attitude of the rulers.

They demanded that building must be provided forthwith so that poor people and their kids do not suffer any more
