KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan on Wednesday demanded Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to fulfill his promise of empowering local representatives.
In a statement issued today, Khawaja Izhar said, "Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had pledged to give power to local body representatives", urging him to stand by his words.
"Being happy without giving powers to local official is nothing but wishful thinking," he added.
The MQM Pakistan leader said that the PPP-led government in Sindh will have to empower the local representatives.
