Army has no intention to launch coup: Ayaz Sadiq

NA speaker terms the relations between the government and Army as pleasant

LAHORE: Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday said that the Army does not intend to launch a coup against the government.

Ayaz Sadiq was speaking to media personnel in his hometown Dharampura where a journalist asked him if the government suspects that Army will launch a coup, to which NA speaker responded that there is nothing of the sort.

Sadiq termed the relations between the government and Army as pleasant.

The NA speaker said that Army is a part of the government and Army has played an important part in establishing democracy in Pakistan.

He also said that misunderstanding is being created between Army and government.

Moreover, Sadiq said that he would be going to Turkey next week to provide evidence against Indian atrocities in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
