QUETTA: Two suspected terrorists were killed as a result of gunbattle with Frontier Corps in Quetta on Saturday, officials said.

FC and police conducted combing operations in different areas of the provincial capital late Saturday. Amid this, an exchange of fire took place between security personnel and miscreants, which left two suspected terrorists dead at Sabzal Road.

The combing operations were conducted in Ketchi Baig, Sabzal Road and Easterm Bypass areas, said an FC spokesman, in which a large number of paramilitary and police personnel participated.

He said a gunbattle with miscreants took place during the combing operation on Sabzal Road, which resulted in killing of two terrorists affiliated with a banned outfit.

A day ago, unidentified assailants had shot three FC men dead in the same vicinity.
