KARACHI: PPP leader Khursheed Shah on Sunday said that PPP has given invaluable sacrifices for democracy and never uttered complains about it.
"We faced gallows but never cried," said the Opposition leader.
The PPP leader was addressing the PPP rally at Lyari, where he said that the party does not do politics of ‘shutting down Islamabad’.
“Some people are asking us how a child will hunt a lion,” said Shah, adding “shake hands with this child and you will know”.
Khursheed while seemingly addressing the party’s opponents said that they are terrified of imprisonment.
The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has taken out what it says will be a historic rally in Karachi today to honour the martyrs of Karsaz, who were killed in a bomb attack on slain prime minister Benazir Bhutto's homecoming rally nine years ago.
The 'Salam Shuhuda' rally is being led by party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who has mounted a special bomb-proof truck and is guarded by 'Jaanisaran-e-Benazir Bhutto (Benazir Bhutto's loyalists)'. Other leaders of the party are also part of the rally.
