KARACHI: Flamboyant all-rounder and former captain Shahid Afridi has announced to publish an autobiography of his career, in which Afridi has shared stories which according to Afridi himself, haven't been shared before.
Shahid Afridi: An autobiography is being authored by a journalist Wajahat S Khan and will be published by Harper Collins, India.
“Shahid Afridi: An Autobiography is a superb account of one of modern-day cricket’s most controversial and high-achieving practitioners,” said a statement issued by the publishers on Monday.
Afridi says he has spoken about everything he faced in his career, and about stories which he never shared before.
“In all my years of cricket, I’ve given hundreds of interviews and done dozens of TV shows, but what you will read in my memoir are the stories and thoughts I’ve never shared openly,” Afridi said in the statement.
“I have a lot to say: about my confidence, my fears, my adversaries, my ambitions, my goals and failures. In the book, I’ve opened up about my rivalries and my alliances, particularly those with India, as well as my infatuation with the military and my take on politics,” the flamboyant all-rounder added.
