ECP to hear reference against Khan, Tareen on 2nd November

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hear the reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and PTI leader Jahangir Tareen on the 2nd of November.

In separate notices issued to Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen the ECP has stated that the reference filled ”by Mr. Muhammad Talal Chaudhry and six other MNAs under clause (2) of the Artciel 63 of the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973” will be heard on the “2nd of November, 2016 at 10:00AM.”

The notices inform the PTI chairman and Tareen that they are both “required to appear before the Hon’ble Election Commission of Pakistan in person or through counsel,” in case the PTI chairman and Tareen fail to appear the notice intimates that the matter will be decided in their absence.
