KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Saturday rued the bitterness of his tone that surprised many after he responded to the allegations leveled against him by Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal.

A couple of days ago, Ishratul Ebad came under attack by Mustafa Kamal as the latter hurled serious allegations at the Sindh governor, demanding he be placed on the Exit Control List (ECL).

He said Ebad was the worst character in Karachi's politics and that the governor was known in Sindh as "Rishwat ul Ebad".

Kamal accused Ebad of sending money, collected through 'China cutting' and from RAW, to the London-based founder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

The accusations prompted strong response by the Sindh governor, who after a years-long hiatus, reappeared on the political scene with several snide remarks against Kamal and his newly-formed party.

Ebad said he found Kamal a disgusting person. "He is disgusting, loathsome, and bipolar."

However, the Sindh governor on Saturday said a few people have told him that the bitterness in his tone during the past few days was in contrast with his image.

"I regret those things......it should not have happened," he said, on a visit to city's Empress Market together with Deputy Mayor Karachi Arshad Vohra.

The governor, on the occasion, announced fixing of dilapidated roads from Empress Market to Pakistan Chowk. He also pledged to transform Jahangir Park into a recreational spot.

The Sindh governor solaced Arshad Vohra reassuring him to get required works done using his powers.
