Khursheed Shah says PTI ‘siege’ of capital will be unconstitutional

SUKKUR: Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah spoke on Saturday about the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) proposed Islamabad sit-in.

Speaking to journalists’ shah said, “protest is everyone’s democratic right, but laying siege and blocking the capital is an unconstitutional move.”

Shah added the PTI chief Imran Khan did not know how to do politics, while the prime minister did not know how to run the government.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has announced that his party will reach Islamabad on November 2 and hold a sit-in until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif does not present himself for accountability over the Panama Papers.

Probe of May 12 massacre, Azizabad weapons bust

Khursheed Shah has demanded a transparent investigation be launched in the May 12 massacre and the huge cache of weapons found from a house in Karachi’s Azizabad area.

He said that his party had no links to enemies of the state and the interior ministry had always remained silent over the issue.
