Two MQM London activists arrested from Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Law enforcement agencies on Saturday apprehended two Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) activists affiliated with the London chapter of the party, the latest in a series of arrests of party workers in a single day.

Heavy contingents of police and Rangers surrounded Faqeer Kapar and Mai Khairi area of Hyderabad, and arrested two activists of MQM London from there.

They arrested masses were identified as Intikhab Alam and his brother, Raheel.

Earlier to this, the law enforcers also arrested Zafar Rajpoot, member of Hyderabad zonal committee of MQM London. Rajpoot, along with another man, was apprehended during a raid at his residence.

The arrested masses were moved to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

Earlier in the day, three members of MQM London's interim Rabita Committee were arrested from Karachi.

With the recent arrest, the overall count of MQM London leaders and activists, detained by the law enforcement, has reached seven.
