RAWALPINDI: At least five civilians were injured due to unprovoked firing by Indian forces at the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday morning, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The unprovoked firing was carried out at Harpal and Chaprar sectors, which was befittingly responded to by Pakistan Punjab Rangers, ISPR said.

Exchange of fire via heavy weapons started last night and continued for 11 hours. Pakistan Rangers targeted the Indian post, causing casualties at the post, ISPR said.

Earlier today Indian forces again resorted to unprovoked aggression when they violated the ceasefire agreement and shelled across the working boundary, injuring three persons in Pakistan.

According to details, Indian Border Security Force officials started firing at the Sialkot working boundary at Charwa sector. Pakistan Punjab Rangers responded befittingly to the Indian firing.
