Defence minsiter says the institution won’t let its hard-earned good reputation go to waste

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Friday said that the institution of Army has matured over the years, adding that the institution won’t let go to waste its hard-earned good reputation.

The Defence Minister was talking in Geo News programme Naya Pakistan where responding to a question he said that the Army intervention is out of question.

The Defence Minister termed the good reputation of Army ‘Gen Raheel Sharif’s legacy’.

The Army Chief would want to leave behind this legacy, he said.

Asif said that people will remember him here and abroad because he started a decisive war against terrorism, the struggle continues till today.

Gen Raheel Sharif, the 15th Chief of Staff of Pakistan Army is set to retire from post on November 29, 2016.
