ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak wanted to bring armed masses for 'invading the capital' ahead of Nov 2 protest.
The Defence Minister took to Twitter to express his views on CM KP’s attempt to lead a convoy to Islamabad from the province. In his tweet, he termed it the “invasion of capital”.

Protesters and police clashed in Swabi shortly after the PTI convoy set off and police used tear gas shells against them.
The Defence Minister said that carrying arms and incitement to violence are clear manifestations of an invasion.

Police on Sunday had stopped Ali Amin from entering Imran Khan's residence at Bani Gala and seized a large cache of weapons from the PTI leader's car. Among the objects recovered were AK-47, repeaters, bullets, tear gas shells and a liquor bottle. Bullet-proof jackets belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police were also found in his car.
