LAHORE: The second edition of the Pakistan Super League is all set to be held in Dubai and Sharjah from February 09, 2017 with all five teams returning to fight for the winner’s trophy.
According to a PCB press release, after the massive success of the inaugural edition, the number of match days of the tournament have been increased from 16 to 18 days.
The tournament shall be declared officially open at the Grand Opening Ceremony on the 9th of February, 2017, followed by the first match of the season.
Last month, PSL Chairman Najam Sethi had announced that the tournament’s final would be played in Lahore. The final would be played on March 07, 2017.
On the same day, PSL draft also took place in a colourful ceremony, with five franchises bagging the best players for the event.
Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum was the top pick of the draft and will lead Lahore Qalandars. Chris Gayle was drafted to Karachi Kings. Kevin Pietersen was retained by Quetta Gladiators. England captain Eoin Morgan was picked by Peshawar Zalmi.
