PCCR meeting underway

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Reforms was underway at the Parliament House to devise a strategy in light of the Supreme Court's verdict on 18th Amendment.

Mian Raza Rabbani, chairman of the committee, was chairing the meeting, Geo News reported.

The committee was constituted on June 23, 2009 and had deliberations on a wide-range of constitutional matters and to develop national consensus on them.

After holding upto 70 meetings, the committee prepared the 18th Amendment draft bill, which was later passed by both houses of the parliament National Assembly and Senate.
