KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has asked all cantonment boards in the province to stop charging parking fees till further orders.
A notification which allowed the Karachi cantonment board to charge parking fees has been suspended.
The issue of charging parking fees at cantonment boards was challenged by the Sea Breeze Plaza Welfare Association.
The Sindh High Court said that no executive officer can charge parking fee, advocate Salahuddin Gandapur said.
In the absence of designated parking areas people are charged for parking their cars at roadsides and open places.
