ISLAMABAD: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan submitted a resolution against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak in the National Assembly secretariat.
The resolution submitted by Ali Raza Abidi, Salman Baloch, Farooq Sattar, Khalid Maqbool and others demand that action be taken against the KP chief minister according to article 6 of the constitution.
It states that Khattak gave irresponsible statements which promoted hate among provinces.
The chief minister's statements were against national security and national interests, it adds.
Early on Tuesday, police pushed back a caravan of PTI workers led by Khattak marching on to the capital for the party’s planned ‘lockdown’ on November 2, through heavy shelling of tear-gas.
Pervaiz Khattak, while talking to party workers in Nowshera on Sunday, said that PTI will rebel if Nawaz Sharif tries to stop his party workers. “You have challenged Pathans, we will respond befittingly if you try to stop us,” he said.
