Faisal being framed in baseless cases, says brother

KARACHI: Reacting on his brother`s arrest, Mustufa Raza Abidi- brother of Faisal Raza Abidi- alleged that baseless cases were being framed against his elder brother.

In a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Sunday, he said that all the weapons found at Faisal Raza Abidi`s home were licensed. “All the four recovered weapons from home are licensed, there was no any other weapon, the said fifth weapon is wrongly stated,” he said.

Flanked with Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leader Nasir Sheerazi and Sunni Ittehad Council`s Sahibzada Hamid Raza; Mustafa Raza Abidi said that his family members fully cooperated with the law enforcement authorities during the house search.

MWM Protest

Meanwhile MWM staged countrywide protests against arrests of Faisal Raza Abidi. In Karachi, the party protested at Numaish Chowrangi, Incholi and Rizvia Society. Traffic was blocked on the road from Saddar to Numaish Chowrangi due to the protest.

A women sit-in was held at Rizvi society, due to which traffic was blocked in the area for some hours.
