KARACHI: Dengue is heading towards the smaller cities after it gripped the relatively larger cities, as the people are panicked on finding dozens of people afflicted with the disease, Geo News reported Tuesday.
More 13 dengue fever cases came to the fore in Hyderabad during the last 12 hours, raising the number of total affected people in district to 131.
At least 15 patients were admitted to Nishtar Hospital on suspicion of contracting the disease in Multan; of them, seven were tested positive.
According to the MS, the blood samples of the other people have been sent to the laboratory for test.
According to the Medical Superintendent of Shah Abdullah Medical College in Mansehra Muhammed Niaz, of 105 blood samples sent to Islamabad National Institute of Health, at least 22 were tested positive for dengue.
Seven more people have been confirmed as positive for dengue in Abbottabad.
According to the MS of Ayub Hospital Dr Jan, over 70 people have hitherto been identified as suffering from dengue; of them, most have been sent home fully recovered and 30 remaining others are back at hospital under treatment.
The citizens in Tank are frightened as there is no dengue testing facility in the city.
