PINDI BHATTIAN: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reached Sangla Hill Interchange and inaugurated Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad Motorway interchange on Friday.
The Prime Minister also addressed a gathering where he criticised the previous governments and said that the governments in the past even conned pilgrims.
In his speech, Nawaz said the journey towards development would continue.
“You people need to question those who try to hinder development,” the prime minister said, adding that people would reject those who put hurdles in the way of progress.
"We are building a new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa," said Nawaz in an apparent jibe at the ruling party in KP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The premier said that Pakistan Railways and PIA are now self-sufficient, adding that the government has made the national institutions stronger.
“In 2013, asked youth in Sangla Hill if they want the interchange. Had told them that when we will be in power then it will be constructed, now look it’s built,” he said.
The prime minister also announced Sui gas for the locals. He said that in 2018, loadshedding will end countrywide.
The Sangla Hill interchange is 3.7Km in length. The project, made with the cost of around 299.202 million rupees, will link the city and adjoining areas to Motorway.
The Motorway has two toll plazas and a traffic control room.
