NAWABSHAH: A planted bomb blast has caused damages to Nawabshah railway track while another of the kind has been defused, Geo News reported.
Police sources said, the blast occurred at up track on Sanghar Road, which destroyed 7-inch portion of the rail track.
Another planted bomb has been defused by bomb disposal squad, police said.
A Punjab-bound Karachi freight train was due to pass through the track where the bomb blast took place, sources said.
The rail service in the area has been suspended due to repair work on the track, railway officials said.
Police said both bombs were local-made.
It is pertinent to mention here that planted bombings in Hyderabad have been targeting railway tracks for last two days that have ripped through tracks from different places.
