Maryam slams PTI for submitting already dismissed evidence in SC

LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Monday slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for submitting evidence against the Sharif family in the Supreme Court (SC) that was already turned down.

The Sharif scion took to Twitter and criticised Tehreek-e-Insaf for failing to present valid evidence of her family's alleged corruption before the apex court in the Panama Papers leaks case, despite having raised 'so much hue and cry'.

"So much hue and cry, slanderous allegations & attempts at defaming the Sharifs & this is what you come up with!" she stated in her tweet.

Maryam went on to say that the defiant opposition party re-submitted Asad Kharal's book comprising of already dismissed evidence before the court to substantiate its allegations.

Earlier today, PTI submitted documents against the Sharif family in the Panama leaks case in the Supreme Court. The 686 pages of documents included details of bank accounts and loans written off.

The apex court will resume hearing of the case on November 15.
