FAISALABAD: At least two people including an 18-year girl died of dengue in Faisalabad, as 71 patients have been confirmed positive for the disease in the city, Geo News reported Wednesday.
All efforts to stem the dengue virus have hitherto proved ineffective with number of patients rapidly increasing.
An 18-year girl Farzana and Mubarak Ali died of dengue fever after several days of ailment at hospital.
A stark revelation has been made in this regard that at least 71 patients, whose blood samples were sent to the laboratory, have been tested positive for the dengue virus. Also, at least 30 patients are under treatment at Allied and Civil Hospitals.
The Isolation Ward at Allied Hospital is brimming to its capacity.
Meantime, the citizens complain about no spray by the Health Department in city, as 80 percent of the city did not receive any fumigation.
