Authorities confiscate Musharraf's properties in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Authorities on Wednesday confiscated former president Pervez Musharraf's properties in Islamabad and suburbs, in following of court orders.

The court in its verdict had said the former president was an absconder in the high treason case and he no longer reserved the right to sell his properties.

The verdict was announced after the court declared Musharraf absconder over his continuous absence from hearings.

The confiscated properties include a farmhouse in Chak Shehzad and a plot in DHA Islamabad, owned by the former president.
